23. Where years or parts of a year of service have been credited from the Civil Service Superannuation Plan to the plan pursuant to a provision of the Act, the benefits of the teacher or former teacher shall be reduced in accordance with this Division on the basis of the sums awarded to the spouse out of the benefits accrued under the Civil Service Superannuation Plan.
